The Nabekura-jo castle is located in south, to protect town with gold and horses. Also the park “Denshoen park” (tradition carry-over park) shows you the highlights of tradition. “Kappa-buchi” (small stream that Kappas live, allegedly) is about 5 min to walk from the park as well.

A story about mice couple who tried to make their daughter married with great person. They were passed from sun, cloud, wind, wall, and eventualy to mice. Believed to implicate that the best is marriage of deserved.
A story about grinder. A poor brothers, who could not afford to celebrate new year, and the older did not help younger in spite of his ask. On the way home, the younger got a grinder that generates salts by turning right, and it stops by turning left. The older brother with envy stole and run to sea by boat. He become happy with turining grinder right to generate salt, but he did not know how to stop it, the boat has sunk. The seawater is salty because still the grinder keeps generating salt.
(From exhibition of “Denshoen Park”) Oshira God “Long ago, a farmer, with no wife but with beautiful daugher, and a horse. The daughter goes to stable at night and became eventually married with the horse. The father knew it and he hanged the horse on a tree and killed it. The daughter became desparate and cried with hanging on the horse’s neck. As soon as the furious father cuts its neck with his axe, the daughter on the neck flied to the sky and disappear.
