Loacated about 10 min from Omotesando Station, the Nezu Museum used to be Nezu Kaichiro’s (a successful industrilist (1860-1940) residence. It exhibits his various collection – painting, calligraphy, ceramics, and lacquerware etc. Namely the museum is renown for a folding screen, “Irises by Ogata Korin”. Also the garden of 17K square meter, attracts foreign travelers, changing its appearance in each of seasons.

It’s located amongst brand shopping street.Approach to the entrance.The exhibition, “the art of cultural amusement”.Surprisingly, no statue of Buddha has created during his life(about 4 – 6 BC). People started to create stature from 0-1 AD, and this one is thought to be from 3rd Century in Gandhara, area where they firstly created.Of course they have English collection list.With many uphills and downhills, the Garden is diffent from Japanese vassals’ strolling garden.
