Yanaka – Old fashioned area that reminds us good old days
Yanaka, located in North East of Tokyo, is the area comparatively survived through Tokyo Air Raid in 1945. You’ll see old houses built over a hundred years ago, and many temples moved from the middle of Tokyo after massive fire in 17th century (Meirekino Taika fire, 1688, that burnt down the keep of Edo Castle) keep the area quiet.
