The name of “Kabukicho” is the name to attract “Kabukiza”(Kabuki theater, currently in Ginza) after Tokyo Air Raid in 1945, to create “the most healthy town of art”. The attraction was not successful, but the name of town (“Kabuki”+”cho”(town)) has left in the middle of Tokyo.
Opening on April 2023, the railroad company conglomerate TOKYU developed the tower, evoking to make the place as “the center of entertainment”. The floors are all occupied non-business attractions including hotel, maze amusement facility, game machines, bar, or foodcourt etc.
Cetainly it looks appearing Japanese cultures, but it also seems only showing “spicy” or stimulous part of the culture for a local.
